School: Period Attendance Reports

The Attendance Reports on the School Dashboard allow users to generate three different period attendance reports.

Day's Attendance

This report will generate a report with a list of students based on attendance search criteria for a selected date. Do the following to run the report:

  1. Select Generate:
  2. The Day's Attendance Settings page opens.
    Day's Attendance Settings
    A
    Date for Attendance: Select to run the report for Today or select a previous day on the calendar
    B
    Search Criteria:
    • Search For:
    • Selected Code(s):
    • Type:
    C
    Demographic Fields: Choose to include up to 3 Demographic Fields. Check off Field 1 and choose Demographic field from the dropdown. Users can also select to print the Field Name or Description.
    D
    Page Orientation: Select to print the layout in Landscape or Portrait.
  3. Select Save & Next.
  4. The Select Students window opens. Users can select students by one of the following:
    • Grade Levels:
    • DB Fields: Select which grade level(s) to include. You can select up to five (5) demographic fields:
    • Views:
    • Individual Students: Select Default Student or another existing view. When searching for a student, you can search on Contains or Begins with, or select the down arrow in the dropdown to scroll through the list of students:
  5. Select Save & Next.
  6. Choose how to sort the students.

The Day's Attendance report will generate. If it is a multi-page report, you can choose to scroll through all pages. Select + or - to zoom in or out of the report. Select  to toggle full page width of the report. Click  to toggle the print preview. Select  to print, or  to download to PDF or Excel.

Skip List - Absent in Some Classes

This report will generate a list of students both present and absent for the selected date. Do the following to run the report:

  1. Select Generate:
  2. The Attendance Settings page opens.

    Date Range for Attendance: Enter a Start and End date for the date range
    B
    Search Criteria
    • Search For: Register Code or Any Code
    • Type: Excused, Unexcused, Undefined or All.
    • Include Present: Select to include students present in the period
    C
    Courses/Studies
    • Display By: Choose to display by Courses & Studies, Periods, or Courses Only
    D
    Demographic Fields: Choose to include up to 3 Demographic Fields. Check off Field 1 and choose Demographic field from the dropdown. Users can also select to print the Field Name or Description.
    E
    Page Orientation: Select to print the layout in Landscape or Portrait.
  3. Select Save & Next.
  4. The Select Students Window opens. Users can select students by one of the following:
    • Grade Levels
    • DB Fields: Select which grade level(s) to include. You can select up to five (5) demographic fields:
    • Views:
    • Individual Students: Select Default Student or another existing view. When searching for a student, you can search on Contains or Begins with, or select the down arrow in the dropdown to scroll through the list of students:
  5. Select Save & Next.
  6. Choose how to sort the students:
  7. Select Save & Generate.

The Skip List Report will generate. If it is a multi-page report, you can choose to scroll through all pages. Select + or - to zoom in or out of the report. Select to toggle full page width of the report. Click to toggle the print preview. Select to print, or  to download to PDF or Excel.

Search List

This report will Search for a List of Students other than present for each period in a date range with additional sorting options. 

Do the following to run the report:

  1. Select Generate:
  2. The Search List page opens.
    Skip List
    A
    Date Range for Attendance: Enter a Start and End date for the date range
    B
    Search Criteria
    • Search For: Register Code or Attendance Code
    • Search Limit: Choose an option such as Greater Than, Less Than, or Equal To. Enter a limit to search, as well as the code type.
    • Type: Excused, Unexcused, Undefined or All.
    C
    Courses/Studies: Current Quarter is displayed
    • Display By: Courses & Studies, Periods or Courses Only.
    • Search Mode: When Courses & Studies or Courses Only is selected, choose to search on Individual Courses or All Courses Combined
    • Course Range to Print: Enter Start Course and End Course #
    D
    Demographic Fields: Choose to include up to 2 Demographic Fields. The number of demographic fields available for printing will change based on the settings you select. The settings determine the available space to print additional fields. Check off Field 1 and choose Demographic field from the dropdown. Users can also select to print the Field Name or Description.
    E
    Page Orientation: Select to print the layout in Landscape or Portrait.
  3. Select Save & Next.
  4. The Select Students Window opens. Users can select students by one of the following:
    • Grade Levels
    • DB Fields: Select which grade level(s) to include. You can select up to five (5) demographic fields:
    • Views:
