HTML5 TeacherPlus Release: September 6, 2019

We've released several improvements and bug fixes for the HTML5 versions of TeacherPlus Management Site and TeacherPlus Gradebook. Highlights of this update include:

New Features
Management Site HTML5 FeaturesAdded functions currently available in the Silverlight version of TeacherPlus Management Site to the HTML5 version.
Improvements
Gradebook ToolbarReorganized the Gradebook toolbar.
Quick EntryIntegrated the Gradebook Quick Entry dialog box with the toolbar.
Recalculate ButtonRemoved the Recalculate button from the toolbar.
Withdrawn Students

Replaced the Withdrawn Students check box with the Show Inactives toggle and moved it to the View section of the toolbar.

Bug Fixes
New Year Transition ModeSystem administrators can disable access to TeacherPlus Gradebook by turning on New Year Transition Mode in PlusPortals.
Class Memos in Progress ReportsIn Gradebook, the class memos in progress reports are saved when using Microsoft Edge.

New Features

The following features, currently available in the Silverlight version of TeacherPlus Management Site, are now available in the HTML5 version.

Add/Edit Achievement Level Scales

Administrators can add and edit achievement levels by navigating to Skills/Standards > Standards > Achievement Level Scales.

Manage Proficiency Levels

Administrators can add, edit, and delete proficiency levels.

Assign Achievement Level Scales to a Course

Administrators attach grade scales to a course by navigating to Skills/Standards > Standards > Assign Achievement Level Scales.

Standards: Marking Period Calculations

Administrators decide how individual teacher assessments are combined to form the achievement level for standards by navigating to Skills/Standards > Standards > Marking Period Calculations.

Edit Standards Level Names

Administrators can name the levels in the standards library by navigating to Skills/Standards > Standards > Library > Tools > Edit Standard Level Names.

Link AP Skills to Standards

Administrators can use AP skills to submit standards-based grades to AdminPlus for inclusion on report cards.

Improvements

Gradebook Toolbar

The toolbar has been organized into four sections: Columns, View, Modes, and Commands.

Quick Entry

When enabled, the Quick Entry option in the toolbar replaces the toolbar with the Quick Entry dialog box.

Recalculate Button

Removed the Recalculate button from the toolbar. Gradebook automatically recalculates changes. If a manual recalculation is needed, navigate to Tools > Recalculate Averages.

Withdrawn Students

Replaced the Withdrawn Students check box with the Show Inactives toggle and moved it to the View section of the toolbar.

Bug Fixes

  • System administrators can disable access to Gradebook by turning on New Year Transition Mode in PlusPortals.
  • In Gradebook, the class memos in progress reports are saved when using Microsoft Edge.
