New Features

Added Google Classroom Integration

Link a Gradebook to a Google Classroom

Teachers can link their TeacherPlus Gradebooks to existing Google Classrooms. The teacher starts by linking a TeacherPlus Gradebook to a Google Classroom they've created.

Link an Assignment Column to a Google Classroom Assignment

To link an assignment, the teacher adds a column in the TeacherPlus Gradebook and then links that column to an existing Google Classwork assignment.

The teacher can then retrieve any complete scores for which grades have been returned to students.

Add to PlusPortals as Coursework

TeacherPlus Gradebook columns linked to Google Classroom classwork can now be listed as coursework in the students' PlusPortal Pages. To add as coursework, the teacher can simply select the Add to PlusPortals as Coursework checkbox. This checkbox is available on the add and edit column screens.

Unlink a Gradebook from a Google Classroom

Teachers can unlink a gradebook from Google Classroom without losing the assignment columns and scores added through that Google Classroom; however, once unlinked, the scores in those columns lock until the teacher links the gradebook and the original Google Classroom again.

Improvements

Updated the Change/Reset Password Page

There's a new look to the change/reset password screens. These new screens have been redesigned to match the new look of the TeacherPlus Gradebook sign-in page.

Updated User Interface Labeling

In our never-ending quest to make the TeacherPlus Gradebook easier to use and bring clarity to our product, we have implemented the following user suggestions:

  • We've renamed the Column/Category Settings to Category Weighting and Categories. This new name is indicative of what the settings do.
  • We've renamed Shared (Public) Column to Shared (Portal) Column in the Add and Edit Column dialog box. Teachers found the word "Public" disconcerting and feared the grade would be displayed to the general public, when in fact the grade was only being made available to the parent and student the portal.
  • And, as with the change above, we renamed the Narrative setting Make public on the portals to Share with Portals.
