HTML5 TeacherPlus Release: August 26, 2020

Still hot from the press, we bring you our latest update. Brew yourself some coffee, pull up a seat, and take a look at the newest additions and improvements to TeacherPlus Gradebook!

Release Overview:

  • As Silverlight fades into history, we have continued to add features involving Standards Based Grading, that were previously found only in our Silverlight version, into our HTML version of the Gradebook.
New Features
Added Year-to-Date Mode for Calculating GradesAs could be done in Silverlight, schools using Standards Based Grading in the HTML5 Gradebook can activate Year-to-Date mode to calculate grades cumulatively instead of by marking periods.
Feature Fixes
Fixed Inability to Save Overridden Grades for Inactive and Withdrawn StudentsGrades can be overridden regardless of a student’s status in Gradebook.


Fixed Issue Where Custom Template Would Become Corrupt

Custom templates no longer become corrupt if a user forgets to name it before saving it.


Fixed Issue When Using 'Selected Course Levels' FilterPreviously, some users received a ‘No Matching Data’ message when using the Selected Course Levels filter for a custom report. This issue has been fixed.

New Features

Added Year-to-Date Mode for Calculating Grades (Previously only in Silverlight)

Schools using Standards Based Grading in the HTML5 Gradebook can activate Year-to-Date mode to calculate grades cumulatively instead of by marking periods. For example, third marking period grades will come from assessments that took place from the first day of the school year to the last day of the third marking period.

Feature Fixes

Gradebook: Inability to Save Overridden Grades for Inactive and Withdrawn Students Has Been Fixed

Grades can be overridden regardless of a student’s status in Gradebook. Previously, some users encountered issues when saving overridden grades entered for inactive and withdrawn students.

Template Options: Corrupt Custom Template When No Name Provided Has Been Fixed

Previously, when a user created a custom template and attempted to save it without a name, a warning message appeared. After the user named and saved the template, the template became corrupt. 

Reports > Custom Reporting: Error in the Filter to Select Course Levels Has Been Fixed

Previously, some users received a ‘No Matching Data’ message when using the Selected Course Levels filter for a custom report.
