We've released several new features, improvements, and feature fixes for the TeacherPlus Gradebook. Highlights of this update include:

New Features
Added Attendance Batch Entry
Correctly configured, the batch entry feature can help schools track present or absent tallies for remote-school separately from the in-school attendance tallies. For example, teachers could immediately enter a Remote Present (RP) code for all students or selected students with the attendance Batch Entry feature. As they see which students are absent, they can change the attendance code for those students from RP to Remote Absent (RA).
To access the Batch Entry feature, do the following:
In the current gradebook, right-click the Class Attendance column.
- Click one of the following options, explained in the sections below:
- Batch Entry
- Batch Enter [Attendance Code] for All
- Batch Enter [Attendance Code] for [Demographic Field]
Batch Entry
The standard batch entry method provides controls allowing a teacher to do the following:
- Fill all blank attendance fields with a code of their choice.
- Find entered attendance codes and replace them with another code. This method also allows teachers to find an attendance code and replace it with a blank.
Batch entering an attendance code will not overwrite existing codes in the column.
Batch Enter [Attendance Code] for All
The TeacherPlus Gradebook Management site's attendance settings affect how this batch entry method functions. In our example, the Attendance Code is RP. In this scenario, a teacher can batch enter RP to all students in the current gradebook. This control does not overwrite previously entered attendance.
Batch Enter [Attendance Code] for [Demographic Field]
The TeacherPlus Gradebook Management site's attendance settings affect how this batch entry method functions. In our example, the Attendance Code setting is RP, and the Demographic Field setting is Group. There are three groups: A, B, and C. In this scenario, a teacher can batch enter RP to group A, B, or C in the current gradebook.
Added Standards-Based Reports: Mastery by Category and Mastery by Standard
Previously only in Silverlight
For standards-based gradebooks, in the Standards menu (Reports > Standards), teachers can run two new standards reports:

These reports provide teachers with the information they need to evaluate student performance and identify areas in which individual students require additional focus.
Improvements
Improved the Google Classroom Integration
Every gradebook has a Sync All (Columns) button. Teachers can find this button by clicking the Google Classroom icon in the upper-left section of the gradebook, to the right of the course name. Previously, teachers had to sync each column individually.
Co-teachers can do everything the primary teacher can do related to Google Classroom except link/unlink the account or class.
The new Sync All (Columns) feature is coming soon for co-teachers.
- Teachers can link Questions from Google Classroom to Columns in their gradebooks
- Columns linked to Google Classroom automatically update the optional statistics in the column header (Mean, Average, etc.) when you sync the column with Google Classroom.
Added Attendance Details to the Student Information Screen
The Class Attendance tab of the Student Information screen, accessed by clicking on a student's name, displays all attendance codes. When displaying attendance By Type, the Class Attendance tab lists all codes except Absent and Tardy under Other. Previously, this section only displayed attendance codes linked to the Absent and Tardy register codes.

Teachers can use angle brackets (< and >) in column names and descriptions.

Fixed Google Classroom Sync for New Teachers
When a new teacher takes over a gradebook linked to Google Classroom, previously linked assignments can sync successfully.
Fixed Skill Grades Calculation for Blank Cutoff Values
To calculate marking period skill grades, an administrator must enter each grade's cutoff value in the management site. Previously, if an administrator didn't set these cutoffs, the marking period displayed a random grade. Now the marking period skill grade remains blank. The following shows a grade scale without cutoff values:
Fixed Skill Grade Display Issues
Gradebooks do not experience display issues when switching back to a skills-based gradebook after using standards for that class. Previously, skills could be hidden after reverting back from standards.
