TeacherPlus Gradebook: May 17th 2023

We've released several new features, improvements, and feature fixes for TeacherPlus. Highlights of this update include:

New Features
Skill Grade Entry: All GradebooksTeachers who have the same student in multiple classes may now enter their skills grades for all classes on the same screen.
Collapsible Ribbon MenuYou can now collapse the top Ribbon Menu to give more space on the screen when using the Gradebook
Report: Report Card Columns for all Students New Report that prints the Student Name, the Course Name, the Teacher Name, and Grade Columns

Search for students without a commentIn Custom Reports, a setting was added to search for students with a blank comment
Feature Fixes
For skills with large grade pools, all skill grades are now includedPreviously, only the first 10 were included in the lookup
Skill Grade Entry issue using Teacher Defined FieldsFixed an issue entering skill grades when custom view contains a Teacher Defined Fields
Narratives Default to White TextFixed an issue that defaulted the Narrative text entered to White.
Report Performance ImprovementSome reports with large amounts of data were experiencing issues while generating.  This has been fixed

New Features

Skill Grade Entry: All Gradebooks

Teachers who have the same student in multiple classes may now enter their skills grades for all classes on the same screen.  Right click on a student’s name and choose “Skill Grade Entry: All Gradebooks”.

Please note: This screen will not show skills for any Gradebooks that are currently set to Track Standards.

Collapsible Ribbon Menu

Similar to Microsoft Office Products, the top ribbon menu may now be collapsed providing more working space.  Simply press the arrow to collapse the ribbon:

Click anywhere on the header to temporarily expand it.  To pin it, so it no longer hides, simply click the Pin button:

Report: Report Card Columns for all Students 

New default report "Report Card Columns for all Students".  This report will export the Student Name, the Course Name, the Teacher Name, and both the calculated Average and the corresponding Grade Table entry for that Average for each Report Card Column.  If any of these grades are overridden those grades will be exported in the Grade Table entry column.  

Improvements

Search for students without a comment

When searching on a Comment Column, we have added the ability to look for students with a Blank Entry.  This is available both in Teacher Custom Reports and Management Site Custom Reports.

Feature Fixes

List All Grades in Skill grade Selection Menu

If a Grade pool attached to a skill contained more than 10 grades, the menu in the Gradebook would only show the first 10.  We have fixed this so you will now see all of the grades you can select.

Skill Grade Entry issue with using Teacher Defined Fields

When a Teacher defined field was included in a custom view, some users reported issues entering Skill Grades.  We have corrected the entry screen so this will no longer be an issue.

Narratives Default to White Text

Report Performance Improvement

Some reports with large amounts of data were experiencing issues while generating.  This has been fixed.
