AdminPlus.com Release 9

We've released several new features, improvements, and feature fixes for AdminPlus.com. Highlights of this update include:

New Features
View Past GradesStudents Past Grades includes Archival Year (Transcript) grades and attendance totals from Classic. To view this information, go to Students > Grades > Past Grades.
Manage Courses: Extended CourseManage Courses now includes Extended Course information, which can be viewed in AdminPlus.com under School > Schedule > Manage Courses & Sections.
Manage Courses: Extended SectionManage Courses now includes Extended Section information, which can viewed in AdminPlus.com under School > Schedule > Manage Courses & Sections.
Incidents: Custom Incident FieldsIncident details now include custom tables and fields that have been created in Classic Administrator's Plus. This can be can be viewed in AdminPlus.com under Students > One Student > Incidents. 
Multiple Student or Multiple Staff View OptionsUsers can now add and edit Lookup Views for Students and Staff.

Portfolio Batch Update for Students of StaffDetails for multiple Portfolio Items can now be updated at once for both Students and Staff members. 
E-Mail: Other Codes Recipient NameAdditional Codes have been added to the Other Type Codes, which can be used in E-mails to Students and Contacts. 
Exports: Student TranscriptStudent Transcripts can now be exported from AdminPlus.com.
User Specifications: Display Alert FieldThe specification User Preference for Alert Messages has been added under User Specifications. 
Improvements
Demographics Dashboard Detail: Tile OptionsTile options have been added to the Dashboard detail pop-up allowing users to Edit the tile or Replace the tile by choosing another tile in the library.
Demographics Dashboard: Search Criteria detail added to Tile Pop-upText displaying the basic Search Criteria has been added above the table in the pop-up and will also be included when the details are Printed as a reference. It will not be included in the Export.
Demographics Dashboard: Batch Entry TileStudent Batch Entry and Staff Batch Entry options have been moved into one tile. This is now located in the 2nd column above Student and Staff Demographic Import.
Student Snapshot: Date Range SettingsStudents > Snapshot > Attendance, Incident and Action Date Ranges now have the option to include Today so the end date automatically updates to today’s date. 
Daily Attendance and Search ReportsAttendance searches that include equal to 0 will include members without an attendance event.
Line Schedule Secondary SortSorting on Time will apply secondary sort on Term. Sorting on Term applies a secondary sort on Time. These sorts apply to E-Mail or Print version of schedule.
Rotation and Quarter SelectionStudent/Staff > Schedule > Rotation and Quarter selection are saved by user. These settings apply to E-Mail or Print version of schedule.
Export: Label ChangesSome of the labels under Exports have been updated.

New Features

View Past Grades

Manage Courses: Extended Course

Manage Courses now includes Extended Course information. Schools that have enabled edit for Schedulingthis data can be edited in AdminPlus.com under School > Schedule > Manage Courses & Sections.

Manage Courses: Extended Section

Manage Courses now includes Extended Section information. Schools that have enabled edit for Schedulingthis data can be edited in AdminPlus.com under School > Schedule > Manage Courses & Sections. Once a course is selected, click the Sections tab > select the Eye Icon to view the Extended Section Information.

Incidents: Custom Incident Fields

Incident details now include custom tables and fields created in Classic Administrator's Plus. This can be viewed under Students > One Student > Incidents. If edit for Incidents is selected for AdminPlus.com, this information can be entered or updated here. To view the custom fields, select an incident, then select the Custom tab.


Multiple Student or Multiple Staff View Options

You can now Add and Edit Lookup Views for both Students and Staff. For Students, this can be completed under Students > Multiple Students > Lookup. For Staff, this can be completed under Staff > Multiple Staff > Lookup.

New Filter types have been added:

  • Multi-Select: Available for validated fields with 120 options or less. Includes an option to select Enable Custom Filter for text-based filtering.
  • Date & Numeric: Added support for specialized filtering for these field types.

Portfolio Batch Update for Students of Staff

Details for multiple Portfolio Items can now be updated at once for both Students and Staff members. Users can select multiple Portfolio items in the Mutiple Student or Mutiple Staff Portfolio View. Users can edit the Date, Description, Remarks, and Category.

Only the Owner of each Portfolio Item can edit these items.

E-Mail: Other Codes Recipient Name

Additional options have been added to Other Type Codes which can be used in E-mails to Students and Contacts. The following codes have been added:

  • Recipient Full Name
  • Recipient Last Name
  • Recipient First Name
  • Recipient Middle Name 

Exports: Student Transcript

Student Transcripts can now be exported from AdminPlus.com by going to Exports > Student > Student Transcripts.

User Specifications: Display Alert Field

The specification User Preference for Alert Messages has been added under User Specifications. By default, this is enabled for all users. This setting is user specific and can be disabled by doing the following: Select Username > User Specifications > Un-check Automatically Display Alery Message. 

This setting can also be enabled or disable from the alert itself by selecting the alert.

Improvements

Demographics Dashboard Detail: Tile Options

Tile options have been added to the Dashboard detail pop-up allowing users to Edit the tile or Replace the tile by choosing another tile in the library. Once a Tile is selected, the detail pop-up opens. Select Tile Options to choose to either Edit or Replace the tile.

Demographics Dashboard: Search Criteria detail added to Tile Pop-up

Text displaying the Basic Search Criteria has been added above the table in the pop-up. The text will also be included when the details are Printed as a reference. It will not be included in the Export.

Student Batch Entry and Staff Batch Entry options have been moved into one tile. This is now located in the 2nd column above Student and Staff Demographic Import.
