Setup Center: Libraries > Attendance Codes

Attendance Codes are used to keep track of Student and Staff Attendance.  They can be Time linked to record the time of arrival or departure and linked to an additional code if before or after a specific time.  For reporting purposes, Attendance Codes can be linked to Attendance Summary Codes (formerly referred to as Register Codes).

Add a New Attendance Code

  1. Code is mandatory
  2. Enter a Description for the code.
  3. If a time should be entered when the code is used, check Time Entry Required With This Code
  4. If Time Entry is checked then, Enabled Time Linked Code section is enabled. This section is optional but can be used if you want to set a rule for the code to link it to another code in certain conditions.
For example, If Time Entered in Time 1 is After 11:00 AM Then Code 2 Automatically Gets H-HALF ABSENCE
  5. Summary/Register Code Links are used for reporting purposes.
    • Summary/Register Code Link1 for the attendance code
    • Amount to use for reporting
    • Type (UNDEFINED, EXCUSED, UNEXCUSED).
    • Summary/Register Code Link 2 is usually not used but is provided if the school wants to count the attendance code in another Summary Code as well.
